Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking a Cyber Technical Analyst to identify cyber capabilities for mission-driven hardware and software. You will conduct authorized penetration testing, assess vulnerabilities, and help design defense tooling for enterprise systems.

The role supports RMF/SA&A activities, collaborates with ISSM/ISSO, and contributes to day-to-day cyber defense operations in a high-security environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (e.g., computer science, computer engineering).
• Relevant experience commensurate with level.
• US citizen with DOE clearances (L or Q) or equivalent.
• Current certifications such as IAT/IAM or Security+ or CISSP are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify cyber capabilities strategies for hardware and software based on mission requirements.
• Conduct authorized penetration testing on enterprise network assets and evaluate vulnerabilities.
• Develop and sustain cyber defense hardware and related tooling.
• Assist in RMF/SA&A requirements and maintain documentation.
• Interact with ISSM/ISSO and support day-to-day security operations.
