Job summary

ARSIEM Corporation in Arlington, VA, is seeking a Cyber Network Defense Analyst (CNDA) to provide front line DFIR support for a government client. The CNDA will monitor networks, analyze traffic, and hunt for malicious activity across the enterprise environment.

Key duties include correlating alerts, producing daily reports, developing detection signatures, and supporting incident response with rapid containment and containment strategies.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent experience in cyber security and networking.
• Hands-on experience with cyber defense analysis and tools.
• Experience developing and deploying intrusion signatures.
• Knowledge of network traffic analysis and OS fingerprinting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Characterize and analyze network traffic to identify anomalies and threats.
• Coordinate with enterprise cyber defense staff to validate alerts.
• Document incidents with history, status, and potential impact.
• Perform cyber defense trend analysis and reporting.
• Provide daily summary reports of network events related to cyber defense.
• Notify incident responders of suspected incidents per the IR plan.
