Job summary

Caribou Thunder seeks a Cyber Helpdesk Administrator II to support the DMOC at Kirtland AFB, NM. Lead vulnerability management across Windows and Linux, apply STIGs, and harden systems to ensure DoD compliance and mission readiness.

You will collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and engineering teams, document procedures, and provide Tier II help desk support while prioritizing remediation with minimal disruption to critical operations. Active Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, cybersecurity, information systems, engineering, or related field; equivalent military or industry experience may be considered.
• 4+ years of systems administration experience in Windows and Linux environments.
• Extensive experience administering Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPOs).
• Experience administering RHEL systems in enterprise/classified environments.
• Experience patching, hardening, remediation, and security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead vulnerability management across DMOC, ensuring Windows and Linux compliance with DoD requirements.
• Perform vulnerability analysis, remediation, and validation across NIPRNet and SIPRNet for accreditation and readiness.
• Implement and maintain STIGs across Windows and RHEL systems.
• Administer Windows Server environments including AD, DNS, DHCP, and domain services.
• Manage RHEL servers including configuration, patching, hardening, and troubleshooting.
• Apply patches per change management and cybersecurity policies.
• Perform hardening, validation, and compliance assessments using DoD standards.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and engineering teams to remediate gaps.
• Utilize vulnerability scans to prioritize remediation with minimal operational impact.
• Develop documentation including SOPs, remediation guides, and compliance docs.
• Support VMware ESXi and vCenter administration as needed.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
• Provide Tier II Help Desk support during downtime or incidents.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure spanning Windows, Linux, virtualization, storage, networking, and security.
• Support backup, DR, and continuity activities for mission-critical infrastructure.
