Job description

Company Overview

For over 25 years, Edgesource Corporation has served as an innovative technology service provider for the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Department of State (DOS), the U.S. Intelligence Community, Law Enforcement, and other federal, state, and commercial clients locally, nationally, and abroad. From providing boutique technical solutions in support of the DOD Counter Unmanned Aerial Systems (CUAS) mission set to addressing the most critical Cybersecurity threats facing our nation as a prime contractor with the DHS Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), a career at Edgesource is an opportunity to do meaningful, interesting, and impactful work.

Position Overview

Our Blue List Cyber Assessor position will involve evaluating unmanned systems (aircraft, ground, water, underwater) and supporting systems for compliance with statutory and cybersecurity requirements established by the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and the Department of War. This position will serve as a cybersecurity-focused technical resource within the assessment team, supporting complex evaluations involving software, firmware, networks, embedded systems, and other cyber-related components.

The Cyber Assessor will work alongside experienced cybersecurity personnel to develop repeatable assessment processes, technical checklists, and methodologies that can be used across the broader assessor team. This role will also provide technical guidance and training to junior assessors and perform higher-skill activities such as penetration testing, reverse engineering, vulnerability analysis, and source code review when required during an assessment.

This position requires strong attention to detail, hands-on cybersecurity experience, and the ability to adapt to changing requirements, technologies, report formats, and research needs. The role provides a unique opportunity to work closely with unmanned systems vendors and government stakeholders, providing visibility into system design, development, manufacturing, testing, and deployment.

This is an onsite position in Charlotte, NC and may include limited travel to conferences, events, customer sites, or other company facilities.
