Job summary

Qualifications

• CWOCN certification required.

• Current RN license in Hawaii.

Responsibilities

• Assess, examine, counsel, and determine treatment for wound, ostomy, and continence care.
• Determine and order appropriate topical products, compression therapy, and referrals based on standards of care.
• Organize and plan patients' ostomy care and rehabilitation through assessment and teaching.
• Consult with physicians and healthcare providers regarding wound, ostomy, and continence management.
• Partner with the healthcare team to establish patient goals and unit development needs.
• Consult with materials management and pharmacy regarding effective care delivery.
• Provide formal education to nursing and healthcare staff on wound and ostomy management.
• Participate in quality management/improvement activities in the Hawaii Region.
• Consult with DME and Materials Management regarding optimal use of supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
