Job summary

GAS Energy Staffing LLC in Houston, TX seeks a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to perform visual inspections and NDT of welds in accordance with AWS, ASME, and project standards. You will verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, material certifications, and monitor welding operations while ensuring safety and quality across heavy industrial environments.

This contract role requires 3–5 years of welding inspection experience, CWI credential, and strong documentation and communication

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED.
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credential from AWS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections and NDT of welds per AWS/ASME and project standards.
• Verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, and material certifications.
• Monitor welding operations for compliance with procedures and safety regulations.
• Document inspection results, prepare reports, and maintain records.
• Collaborate with project engineers, QA teams and contractors to resolve welding issues.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
