Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for their Bainbridge, Georgia location. The job offers a pay range of $30 - $45 per hour with additional overtime and benefits. Flexibility is required for a 4 x 10 shift from Monday to Thursday with potential overtime on weekends.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current AWS CWI certification.
• Have 900+ hours of documented Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
• Experience in structural steel fabrication is required.
• Familiarity with AWS D1.1 and D1.5 codes is important.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual and non-destructive testing inspections.
• Perform Ultrasonic Testing (UT) and review specifications.
• Complete inspection reports and ensure product quality.

Skills

Current AWS CWI certification

900+ documented UT hours

Structural steel fabrication experience

Knowledge of AWS D1.1 and D1.5 codes

Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications

Job description

Job Title: Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

Location: Bainbridge, Georgia

Salary: $30 - $45 per hour + Overtime (1.5x) + Benefits + Relocation Assistance

Shift: 4 x 10 Monday - Thursday 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM Overtime on Friday, Saturday and Sundays (x1.5 Overtime rate)

Day to Day

Join a leading structural steel fabrication company with a strong backlog of bridge and infrastructure projects through 2029. You'll be responsible for performing visual and NDT inspections, conducting UT testing, reviewing drawings and specifications, completing inspection reports, and ensuring fabricated products meet quality standards.

Requirements

• Current AWS CWI certification
• 900+ documented UT hours
• Structural steel fabrication experience
• Knowledge of AWS D1.1 and D1.5 codes
• Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications

Preferred

• Bridge fabrication experience
• NDT, MT, or PT experience
• Background in heavy steel fabrication or AISC-certified facilities
