Job summary

Aerotek in Reading, PA is seeking a Certified Weld Inspector to ensure the quality and compliance of welded components in a shop setting. You will perform detailed inspections, verify drawings and industry codes, and support continuous improvement of quality standards.

This first-shift, on-site role requires an active CWI credential and hands-on experience with structural steel fabrication, MIG and flux-core welding, and precision measuring tools. Overtime opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• CWI certification required and active.
• Experience in weld inspection in shop environments.
• Ability to read shop drawings and welding symbols.
• Familiarity with ASTM, AISC, and DOT codes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complete layout inspections using micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Verify quality at incoming materials, in-process, and final products.
• Perform visual inspections of welds, bolts, coatings, and assemblies.
• Interpret and apply shop drawings, specifications, and welding codes.
