Job summary
Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates, Inc. is seeking a CWI/Structural Steel Inspector in our Annapolis Junction, MD office. The role requires inspecting and testing structural steel during erection on general commercial building sites and documenting findings per engineering practice.

Qualifications
- At least 2 years' experience with construction and structural steel erection.
- AWS CWI or ICC Welding certification, ICC High Strength Bolting certification.
- Level II in PT, MT and UT methods preferred.
- Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
- Able to meet pre-employment requirements and lift 60-80 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and test structural steel during erection on commercial building sites.
- Document findings in accordance with accepted engineering practice.
- Communicate with site contractors, technicians and project managers.
