Job summary

Kiwa PPI is expanding its Quality Control team by adding a Shop Inspector with Certified Welding Inspector credentials. You will witness inspections, ensure equipment calibration, and verify technician certifications while representing the customer at supplier and fabrication sites.

Qualifications

• Current CWI certification required.
• 5+ years of shop inspection experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of third–party inspection processes (NDE, FAT, Assembly).
• Knowledge of API, ASNT, ASME, NACE, DS-1 standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic PC skills and spreadsheet proficiency.
• Able to work long hours and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Witness inspections and testing per plans, standards, and client requirements.
• Verify calibration and certification of inspection equipment.
• Confirm technician certifications are current for the scope.
• Act as the Customer Representative with Suppliers on scheduling.
• Generate clear reports documenting inspection results and decisions.
• Communicate results to project coordinators and stakeholders.
• Support HSSE objectives and safety guidelines.
• Conform to Kiwa PPI Quality Management System.
