Job summary

Mistras Group Inc. is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to perform visual weld inspections and NDT testing in Eastern Massachusetts. This is a full-time, on-site role with pay up to $60 per hour, with higher rates for UTSW or additional NDT certifications.

Responsibilities include preparing inspection reports, ensuring code compliance, and communicating findings to clients and supervisors. Local candidates only; strong documentation and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification is required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Ability to pass background screening, drug screening, and client-specific requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual weld inspections per AWS codes and customer specs.
• Conduct NDT inspections following applicable procedures and standards.
• Inspect welds, materials, and components for quality and code compliance.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports and documentation.
• Communicate inspection findings with supervisors and customers.
• Follow all company safety policies and client requirements.
• Maintain certifications and comply with codes and standards.
• Perform other inspection duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or GED

AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)

Level II NDT certifications (UTSW)

API or ASNT certifications (plus)
