Job summary

UConn Health / Waterbury Hospital seeks an experienced APRN/NP or PA to join the Cardiovascular Unit. Day position with occasional nocturnist shifts.

The provider will deliver high-quality, independent care for cardiac and cardiothoracic patients, assist with pre and post-operative management, and support patient transitions across the continuum of care. • Strong cardiovascular clinical expertise and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage inpatients on cardiac and cardiothoracic services under attending supervision.
• Care for patients with myocardial infarction, acute coronary syndromes, post-op open-heart procedures, and mechanical support devices (IABP, Impella).
• Perform comprehensive assessments, order tests, interpret hemodynamics, and participate in advanced procedures.
• Educate patients, families, and staff while collaborating with the interprofessional team.

UConn Health / Waterbury Hospital is seeking an experienced APRN/NP or Physician Assistant (PA) to join the Cardiovascular Unit. This is a day position with a few nocturnist shifts. The provider will deliver high-quality, independent care for cardiac and cardiothoracic patients, assist with pre and post-operative management, and support patient transitions across the continuum of care.
