Qualifikationen

• Current Connecticut APRN/NP or PA license.
• DEA and controlled substance registration.
• Minimum 2 years of APP experience preferred.
• Cardiovascular or cardiothoracic experience preferred.
• Strong cardiovascular clinical expertise.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills.

Aufgaben

• Manage inpatients on cardiac and/or cardiothoracic services under attending supervision.
• Care for patients with myocardial infarction, acute coronary syndromes, and post-operative open-heart procedures.
• Manage patients requiring advanced mechanical circulatory support (IABP, Impella).
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and order/interpret diagnostic testing.
• Assess and interpret hemodynamics and participate in advanced procedures/first-assist opportunities.
• Provide pre- and post-operative management and safe transitions across care continuum.
• Educate patients, families, and staff; collaborate with physicians and the broader interprofessional team.
