Job summary

Corewell Health at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support pediatric cardiac, vascular and transplant surgeries. You will prepare the surgical suites, maintain sterile fields, handle instruments, and assist during procedures as part of the CV/PV team.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, surgical technology training, and certifications. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate's degree of Surgical Technology is preferred.
• 5 years of relevant experience as a surgical technologist or 6 months CVT experience is required.
• LPN license for Michigan is required.
• CST certification (AST or NBSTSA) is required.
• BLS within 90 days of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cardiac, vascular and transplant surgical suites and assist intraoperatively.
• Maintain sterile field and handle instruments; adapt to changing conditions during procedures.
• Collaborate with CV/PV team and cath lab staff for complex cases.
