Progressive Animal Wellness, a 4-doctor small animal practice in Avon, CT, seeks an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to support outpatient care and procedural services, including anesthesia, dentistry, and surgery. You will move between exam rooms and procedure support, contributing to high-quality patient care and client communication.

Compensation ranges from $21.00 to $28.00 per hour in a full-time 4x10 schedule (Mon–Thu, with rotating Saturdays).

Qualifications

• 1+ years of veterinary technician experience
• Active, good-standing CVT license in Connecticut required
• Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and out-of-state license transfer encouraged to apply
• Proficiency in patient assessment, nursing care, anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, dental procedures, venipuncture, radiology positioning, medication administration, safe handling, client education, and critical thinking

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows
• Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Assist in surgery
• Perform dental procedures and radiography
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
• Review treatment plans and discharge instructions with clients
• Identify patient concerns and support case management
• Build client relationships through education and attentive service
