Job summary

Family Pet Clinic of Newberg is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team and support outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry. The role involves working in a fast-paced general practice with dogs, cats, pocket pets, reptiles and other exotics.

You will perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, recovery, dental procedures, and in-house diagnostics while maintaining detailed medical records and clear client communications.

Qualifications

• 4+ years veterinary technician experience.
• Active and good‑standing Certified Veterinary Technician in Oregon.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical and dental workflows.
• Perform anesthesia induction, monitoring, assisting and recovery.
• Perform dental procedures including prophylaxis and radiography.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Review treatment plans, medications and discharge instructions with clients clearly.
• Identify patient concerns and support efficient case management across the hospital.
• Build strong client relationships through education and attentive service.
