Job summary

Pacific Veterinary Clinic in Grants Pass, Oregon, is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team and support outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.

You will balance exam room care with client communication and hands-on procedural support, using your clinical knowledge to maintain high standards of patient care and compassionate service. This is a flexible full-time or part-time role with a competitive hourly wage and benefits.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of veterinary technician experience.
• Active and good-standing CVT in the state of Oregon.
• Proficiency in anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Surgical assistance and aseptic technique.
• Dental prophylaxis and dental radiography.
• Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement.
• Radiology positioning and safety protocols.
• Medication administration and accurate drug calculations.
• Laboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testing.
• Client education and communication.
• Effective teamwork and professional communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Performing anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
• Performing dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiography.
• Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
• Identifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospital.
• Building strong client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service.
