Job summary

Nonantum Veterinary Clinic in Landenberg, PA is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician to join our 8,000 sq ft, 100% companion animal focused hospital. You will work with veterinarians and support staff to deliver high-quality care.

The role includes anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, lab work, radiology/ultrasound, client education, and accurate medical records. Flexible hours; benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k), PTO, holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Veterinary Technician credential required.
• Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, venipuncture, laboratory procedures, radiology, and dentistry.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to use practice management software.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to work in a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and handle animals up to 130 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to hospitalized patients, including IV catheter placement and ongoing monitoring.
• Prepare, monitor, and recover patients undergoing surgical procedures.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and surgeries.
• Perform laboratory diagnostics and document results.
• Operate radiology and ultrasound systems following safety standards.
• Administer medications and manage treatments per regulations.
• Maintain daily controlled drug logs and proper storage of substances.
• Create and review treatment plans in the medical records system.
• Support hospital operations with accurate recordkeeping and charge entry.
• Educate clients on preventive care and treatment plans.
• Maintain clean, stocked treatment and surgical areas.
• Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies.
