The ideal candidate holds a PA CVT or RVT license, is an AVMA-accredited program graduate, and has experience with anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, and laboratory

Qualifications

• Active CVT or RVT license in Pennsylvania is required.
• Graduate of an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, and laboratory diagnostics.
• Proficiency in venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and medication administration.
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, client-focused demeanor.
• Ability to handle and restrain animals safely; multitask in a busy clinic.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Collect and process laboratory samples including blood, urine, and tissue.
• Perform and assist with diagnostic imaging including digital radiography.
• Monitor and care for patients under anesthesia and during postoperative recovery.
• Educate and communicate with pet owners regarding treatment plans and home care.
• Maintain accurate patient medical records using veterinary practice management software.
