Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel assignment in Youngstown, Ohio. The right candidate will circulate and assist in a Cardiovascular Operating Room, supporting a team of surgeons and staff.

This 13-week travel role requires 40 hours per week, days shift, and ACLS/BLS certification with 2+ years of acute care experience. RN should be capable of lifting and standing for long periods in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• NIHSS or related credential preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience.
• Travel RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and evaluate nursing care before, during and after procedures.
• Participate in care of patients receiving sedation.
• Administer medications, apply dressings, monitor vitals.
• Assist physicians during procedures.
• Maintain aseptic technique and monitor potential breaches.
• Coordinate operating room sterility, equipment and supplies.
• Ensure proper handling of specimens.
