Job summary

TotalMed RN seeks a CVOR travel nurse (RN) for a Columbus, Ohio assignment. You will provide professional CVOR care, circulating for cardiothoracic procedures and other complex surgeries, collaborating with physicians and the OR team.

The role requires 1–2 years of acute care experience, BLS and NIH certifications, and a 13-week travel term with 36 hours per week on 12-hour nights. Immediate start preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and evaluate the nursing care needs of the patient before, during and after a surgical procedure.
• Participate in the care of patients receiving conscious sedation.
• Administer prescribed medications, apply dressings, monitor vital signs.
• Assist physician during procedures.
• Coordinate the operating room with respect to sterility, cleanliness, availability of functioning equipment and supplies.
• Ensure the proper handling of specimens.
