Qualifications

• 1 year of Heart Training preferred.
• Basic Life Skills Certification (BLS) must be obtained within the first 30 days of hire.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery- Certified (TS-C) or Certified First Assistant (CFA) required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for incoming surgeries.
• Assist the surgeon in the operating room.
• Inventory surgical instrumentation and supplies prior to an operation.
• Recount surgical instruments and supplies at the end of an operation.
• Sterilize equipment and stock up on necessary supplies.
