Qualifications

• Assists in obtaining and organizing supplies and instruments prior, during and after surgical procedure.
• Monitors sterilization activities and ensures sterility of supplies.
• Attends in-services and participates in Performance Improvement processes.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparation of patient, assembly of supplies, instruments, equipment and proper disposition of specimens; assists with room turnover.
• May serve as a preceptor and a clinical resource to others.
• Assists in development of policies, procedures, and standards.

High School Diploma or GED

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program

Meets ST II qualifications in Surgical Tech Ladder
