Job summary

Intermountain Health Intermountain Medical Center in Murray, Utah is seeking an experienced CVOR Surgical Technologist to support high-acuity cardiovascular procedures and maintain sterile technique in a fast-paced OR.

The role requires recent CVOR experience, ability to scrub high-acuity cases, and collaboration with surgeons and nurses. Eligible for full-time schedule with a comprehensive benefits package and ongoing education opportunities.

Qualifications

BLS for healthcare providers certification.
ORT program completion or equivalent on-the-job training.
Two years scrub tech experience within the last three years.
Able to take specialty call in Level II Trauma Facility.
Must be in good standing.
Approval from Surgical Services Director Council required before role change.

Responsibilities

Support system-wide surgical operations and safety plans.
Maintain sterile environment and sterilization criteria.
Prepare OR and instruments, assist with sterile processing, support surgeons within ORT scope.
Identify and respond to emergencies, assist with room turnover and cleaning.
Participate in training and mentoring with at least one educational offering per year.
Function as Specialty Leader or Clinical Expert: coordinate case flow, staff training, or scrub high-acuity cases and mentor caregivers.
