Job summary

BayCare Health System is seeking a Surgical Technologist CVOR for a 13-week Staffing Resource Office assignment at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa. The role requires an Accredited Surgical Technology program graduate with NBSTSA certification or 5 years of acute care experience and BLS.

The position is pool-based and requires living within 30 minutes of the hospital to cover the schedule and on-call shifts. Shift is 6:30am-5:00pm with occasional weekend work, and equal opportunity employment

Qualifications

• 1-year CVOR surgical technology experience with NBSTSA certification; or 5 years if no certification
• High School or Equivalent
• Technical Diploma or Associates in Surgical Technology
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field setup

Responsibilities

• Perform technical support in the perioperative period under the direction and supervision of an RN
• Assign to one hospital in the Staffing Resource Office system; hospital placement based on system needs

Education

High School or Equivalent

Technical Diploma or Associates in Surgical Technology

NBSTSA certification

BLS (Basic Life Support)

Knowledge of sterile technique, instrumentation, equipment, and sterile field setup
