Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of a Surgical Technician program and CST certification.
• Minimum of 2 years surgical technician experience in an OR setting.
• BLS certification required by the American Heart Association.
• Ability to work the 6:00 AM–6:30 PM day shift (36 hours/week).
• Weekend, holiday, and on-call availability as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies.
• Maintain sterile environment and aseptic technique.
• Collaborate with perioperative staff to provide patient-centered care.
• Support surgeons and nurses during procedures with instrument handling.
• Monitor patient status and ensure safety throughout perioperative care.
• Assist team to maintain efficient workflow between procedures.
• Participate in departmental orientation and quality improvement.
