Job summary

AdventHealth in Daytona Beach is seeking qualified Surgical Technologists for flexible contract assignments across facilities. You will support pre-operative care, assist in the operating room, and help maintain sterile environments while coordinating with the surgical team for efficient turnover.

Requirements include an Associate or technical/vocational training, with 2+ years of related experience and BLS/CSA certifications.

Qualifications

• Associate in a related field preferred.
• Technical/Vocational School in a related field required.
• 2+ years of technical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patients with supportive care during pre-operative phases.
• Collect and label specimens obtained during surgical procedures.
• Conduct instrument counts prior to surgery.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Ensure the operating room is sterile and maintain instrument counts during procedures.
• Assist the team with operating room turnover times.
