Job summary

Sunbelt is seeking a CVOR Surgical Technologist to support cardiovascular surgeries by preparing operating rooms, passing instruments, and maintaining sterile conditions. The role requires CST certification with cardiovascular specialty experience and the ability to anticipate surgeon needs while collaborating with physicians and nurses.

You will ensure patient safety by adhering to infection control standards and contribute to efficient OR turnover.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with Cardiovascular specialty experience is required.
• Proven CVOR tech experience in acute care hospital or surgical center.
• In-depth knowledge of sterile techniques, instrumentation and cardiac procedures.
• Ability to anticipate surgeon needs during cardiovascular cases.
• Strong communication and collaboration with physicians, RNs and staff.
• Exceptional attention to detail and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for cardiovascular surgeries with proper setup and instruments.
• Pass instruments, sponges and provide technical assistance during procedures.
• Maintain and monitor sterilization of equipment and areas.
• Safeguard patient safety by following protocols and infection control standards.
• Monitor supplies and anticipate the team’s needs for efficient operations.
• Provide post-operative room turnover and readiness for next cases.
