Job summary

6AM City, LLC is seeking a CVOR Surgical Tech in Charlotte, NC for a 13-week assignment. The role requires OR experience in CVOR with proficiency in scrub/circulating duties and familiarity with CVOR cases.

The position supports orthopedic, spine, vascular, and cardiothoracic procedures in a busy OR, with a 12-hour day shift schedule and on-call requirements as described. RN/CST backgrounds are acceptable with proper credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience in CVOR or related specialty.
• Must have completed an accredited Surgical Tech program prior to start.
• BLS certification required; National certification preferred.

Shift Information: 7A-7P

Clinical Interviewing- Yes - Manager Approval to Offer

On Call, Call Back Requirements: 4-5 Weeknight calls per 6-week schedule, 1-2 Weekends per 6-week schedule

Weekend Rotation: Typically only for call

Holiday Requirements: Could be scheduled to work or be on call for holidays, in rotation

Floating Requirements: None

About Facility:

• 337 licensed beds
• No Trauma Designation
• Teaching Hospital: No
• Chest Pain Center
• Stroke Center
• Radius rule: Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit

Unit Information:

• OR Rooms: 13 ORs plus (1) Procedure/Cysto room
• Performs on average 45 cases per day

Minimum Years of Experience required: 2 years of OR exp in specialty (RN, CST, CVOR RN, CVOR CST)

  • Orthopedic: Total hip arthroplasty, Total knee arthroplasty, total shoulder arthroplasty, reverse total shoulder arthroplasty, knee arthroscopy s, shoulder arthroscopy s, fractures/nails
  • Spine: Cervical and lumbar fusions, microdiscectomies, laminectomies, spinal cord stimulators
  • General: Lap chole, Lap appy, Lap hernia repairs, open hernia repairs, colon resections, I & D, Trachs, PEGS, J and G tubes, Ex laps, port-a-caths, skin biopsies, lymph node biopsies, EUA s
  • General (colon): Sigmoid colectomy s, Ascending colectomy's, total abdominal colectomy s, APR S, hemorrhoidectomies, anal fistulas, EUA s
  • Breast: lumpectomies with needle or seed loc, total skin sparing mastectomy s,
  • Podiatry: Debridement's, amputations
  • Urology: Prostate biopsies, TURP, TURB, cystoscopy, ureteroscopy, with laser lithotripsy and stent placement, hand assisted/ lap nephrectomy s, perc nephs
  • Robotic: choles, appys, hernias, colectomy s, nephrectomy s, prostatectomy's, lobectomy s(CVOR)
  • GYN: total lap hysterectomy s, open abdominal hysterectomy s, salpingectomy s, oophorectomy s, ovarian cystectomies, hysteroscopy s, D&E, supracervical hysterectomy s,
  • Plastics: breast tissue expanders, breast reduction / reconstruction, brachioplasty
• CVOR:
  • Cardiothoracic: CABG, AVR, MVR, Mini mitral, Septal myomectomy
  • Vascular: Fistula creations, Transcarotid revascularization, carotid & femoral enterectomy, bypasses, iliac artery thrombectomy, brachial pseudo aneurysm repair, Carotid baroreceptor implantation, hybrid cases, dissections
  • Thoracic: VATS, Robotic resections, lobectomies, pericardial windows

Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:

• RN: BLS
• Surg Tech: BLS, MUST have completed an accredited Surgical Tech (education) Program prior to start
• National certification (preferred)
