Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a Surgical Assistant/First Assistant to support the surgeon across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative duties, providing aid in exposure, hemostasis, and closure to help ensure safe operations and optimal patient outcomes.

You will work on-site in a fast-paced perioperative setting, travel as needed, and bring at least two years of Surgical Technologist or assistant experience with a high school diploma; certification as CST is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years surgical technologist experience.
• Certification as CST preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide perioperative surgical assistance before, during, and after procedures.
• Assist in exposure, hemostasis, closure, and wound care.
• Position patients safely and maintain sterile technique.
• Assist in transfer to recovery and postoperative care.
