Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina is seeking a CVOR Registered Nurse PRN to join a busy surgical team. The role offers flexible PRN scheduling with 2–6 shifts per pay period and bi-weekly calls, in a high-volume operating room environment with Open-Heart and Thoracic procedures.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year CVOR nursing experience and an Associate Degree in Nursing, with BLS/ACLS. North Carolina RN license is required, with eNLC possible.

Qualifications

• 1+ years CVOR nursing experience required.
• Associates Degree in Nursing required; Master's preferred.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred.
• Current RN license in North Carolina (eNLC may apply) and active license.

Responsibilities

• Self/preferential scheduling posted four weeks in advance for schedule predictability.
• Fosters culture of mutual respect and collaboration among surgical staff.
• Invests in equipment and patient positioning for safety and workflow efficiency in the OR.
• Rounding with unit leaders and charge nurses to discuss patient care and workflow improvements.
• On-call is required during select non-business hours.
