Job summary

Banner Estrella Medical Center is seeking a Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse (CVOR RN) for the day shift, with opportunities to float to the Main OR. The role involves assisting surgeons during complex procedures, coordinating perioperative care and ensuring patient safety in a Magnet-designated environment.

Responsibilities include assessments, planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care, with emphasis on collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and adherence to hospital

Qualifications

• Must possess a current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of one year RN experience in the operating room.
• New to service/new operating room nurses must complete the Perioperative Academy curriculum within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs and review data to form a plan of care.
• Formulate a plan of care including discharge planning and realistic goals in collaboration with patient/family and multidisciplinary team.
• Implement and coordinate the plan of care with physician orders and nursing plan, delegating tasks and supervising staff as needed.
• Evaluate patient progress and responses to care, adjusting the plan as required and documenting outcomes in the chart.
• Maintain thorough, timely documentation of assessments, plans, interventions and patient responses.
