Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a qualified RN First Assistant to support safe, patient-family centered perioperative care in the OR and related areas across all patient populations.

The role functions as an RN first assistant during operative and invasive procedures and may serve as an RN circulator, with responsibilities aligned to scope of practice, credentials, privileges, and competency verification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program.
• Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program with didactic and clinical components.
• 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience.
• 3 years minimum experience as RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR if working in the CVOR.
• Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC multistate license.
• CNOR certification if applicable.
• CRNFA certification.
• BCLS required.
• ACLS required and PALS required.

Responsibilities

• Functions as an RN first assistant during operative and other invasive procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum.
• Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care.
• May serve as an RN circulator in the OR.
