Career Land Center, LLC in the Houston Bay Area is seeking an experienced CVOR Registered Nurse for a full-time role at a major acute-care hospital. The CVOR RN will provide high-quality perioperative nursing care, maintain aseptic technique, prepare the OR, and support cardiovascular surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• ADN required.
• Texas RN license or Multi-State Compact RN license.
• Must obtain Texas RN license if practicing under a Compact license.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• At least 1 year of licensed RN experience in an acute-care CVOR/OR environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care throughout the perioperative process for cardiovascular surgical patients.
• Maintain aseptic technique and sterile-field standards during procedures.
• Prepare the operating room and ensure surgical supplies and equipment are available.
• Demonstrate knowledge of patient prep requirements for cardiovascular procedures.
• Perform comprehensive preoperative patient assessments.
• Lead pre-procedure verification and surgical timeout process.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, nurses, and perioperative team.
• Monitor patient safety and respond to changes in condition.
• Maintain documentation and follow hospital policies.
