Qualifications

• Active and unencumbered RN license.
• Minimum of one year CVOR or acute care experience preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; additional specialty certifications may be preferred.
• Proven ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary surgical team.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to adapt to varying facility requirements and work environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the CVOR for surgical procedures with equipment and supplies ready.
• Assess patients before, during, and after procedures; document findings and nursing interventions.
• Assist cardiovascular surgeons and anesthesiologists; maintain sterile technique and safety protocols.
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs throughout the surgical process.
• Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals; provide updates.
• Participate in ongoing education, training, and competency assessments.
• Comply with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety best practices.
