Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Relevant certifications for cardiovascular operating room nursing (BLS, ACLS) as required.
• Experience in a surgical or cardiovascular care environment.
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating room and ensure equipment and supplies are ready for each procedure.
• Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers during operations while maintaining a sterile field.
• Monitor patient status before, during, and after surgery with timely interventions as needed.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately in line with hospital policies.
• Educate patients and families regarding pre- and post-operative care requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings.
