Job summary

UF Health Leesburg is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse to support a high-volume 12-OR surgical program at our 330-bed campus. You will perform nursing assessments, develop and implement evidence-based perioperative care plans, and collaborate with a world-class team in cardiovascular and robotic-assisted surgery.

Requirements include Diploma or ASN in Nursing, 1 year Med/Surg or Critical Care experience, and an active Florida RN license with BLS/ACLS/PALS.

Qualifications

• Diploma or ASN in Nursing required.
• 1 year Med/Surg or Critical Care experience preferred.
• Prior Circulating and CVOR experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use the nursing process to assess patients and formulate care plans.
• Circulate and scrub complex surgical cases with standard perioperative practices.
• Implement and evaluate individualized perioperative care plans.
• Maintain readiness for after-hours and weekend emergencies via on-call rotation.

• Utilize the nursing process to make accurate nursing assessments, diagnoses, and formulated care plans.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Education: Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN) required.
• Experience: 1 year of Medical/Surgical (Med/Surg) or Critical Care experience is preferred.
• Preferred Specialties: Prior Circulating and CVOR RN experience is highly preferred.

Licensure & Certifications

• Active, unrestricted Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License (or valid Compact multi‑state license).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification.
