Job summary

150 Sharp Tri-City Medical Center is seeking an Operating Room Registered Nurse (CN II level) to deliver high-quality perioperative care. The role requires autonomy, collaboration with the surgical team, and adherence to safety and infection control standards in a busy OR setting.

The candidate must hold a California RN license, BSN preferred or ADN with OR experience, and current BLS; ACLS is preferred. Weekend shifts and on-call are part of the schedule under a CNA CBA.

Qualifications

• California RN license is required.
• BSN or ADN with 5 years’ OR experience may substitute BSN.
• Two years RN experience in a high-acuity OR; CVOR RN experience if applying for CVOR role.
• Five years RN experience in ICU, ED or PACU for Transitional RN program (Main OR).
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider certification is required.
• ACLS certification current is preferred.
• Scrub experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean operating room environment with infection control.
• Coordinate interprofessional team to deliver perioperative patient care.
• Develop and implement perioperative care plans and monitor intraoperative patient responses.
• Administer moderate sedation for Endoscopy procedures.
• Accurately document perioperative care in the EMR.
• Provide preceptorship and mentorship to new graduates and new hires.
