Job summary
IntermountainHealth’s St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Cardiovascular OR RN to join the surgical services team.
The CVOR nurse will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nurses to ensure safe, high-quality care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. The role requires a BSN, current Colorado RN license (or compact license with Colorado eligibility), and BLS certification, with ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate.
Qualifications
- BSN from an accredited program is required.
- Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain Colorado RN license is required.
- BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire is required.
- At least 1 year of Cardiothoracic nursing experience in a comparable acute care/surgical setting is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Recognize and address patients’ psychological and physical needs
- Foster continuity and quality of care with the best interest and well-being of patients and their families in mind
- Assess a patient’s medical status upon admission
- Assist in developing individualized treatment plans
- Comply with evaluation, treatment and documentation guidelines
