AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking staff for PRN/ contract positions in perioperative care. The role includes aiding with pre-op care, specimen labeling, instrument Counts, patient transport and sterile field maintenance within a hospital operating room.

Candidates should have 2+ years of technical experience, BLS CPR, and training from a technical/vocational program; ACLS/PALS preferred. Florida background checks apply. Competitive hours and a path to permanent employment may be available.

Job Details:

• Provides patients with supportive care during pre-operative phases.
• Collects and labels specimens obtained during surgical procedures.
• Conducts instrument counts prior to surgical procedures.
• Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Conducts field preparation and maintenance.
• Ensures the operating room is sterile.
• Monitors and tracks instrument counts throughout procedures.
• Maintains surgical instruments in an organized manner.
• Assists the team with safe and efficient operating room turnover times.
• Other duties as assigned.
