Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a CVOR contract in New York. The role supports the surgical team, maintaining sterile technique and ensuring proper instrument handling during procedures.

The CST must have at least 1 year of experience, complete a nationally accredited program, and hold NBSTSA credential. The position is full-time with a schedule from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM at the Manhasset location.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Completion from a nationally accredited educational program for surgical technologist.
• Maintains a certified surgical technologist (CST) credential with NBSTSA.

Responsibilities

• Implements and communicates the age-specific plan of care and provides thorough shift reports.
• Sets up and breaks down operating room equipment and ensures stock for patient care.
• Monitors infection control and aseptic technique; maintains sterile field and documents changes.
• Assists with instrument processing, sterilization, and post-operative duties as required.
• Performs counts with the RN and ensures safe use of equipment before, during and after procedures.
