Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a CVOR Anesthesia Technician to support the cardiac anesthesia team in a fast-paced operative environment. You will assist with anesthesia administration and monitoring, and work closely with anesthesiologists to ensure patient safety and precision in line placement.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting equipment, testing and maintaining devices, and supporting the cardiac surgery team through the operative continuum.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• One year of CVOR Anesthesia Technician experience.
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.

• Support anesthesiologists and mid-levels with invasive and non-invasive monitoring.

The CVOR Anesthesia Technician assists the cardiac anesthesiologist with administration and monitoring of anesthesia and has an extensive knowledge of cardiac anesthesia techniques, instruments, supplies and technology. Supports anesthesiologists and mid-levels with invasive and non-invasive monitoring, advanced line preparation and placement. Provides equipment testing, calibration, trouble shooting, cleaning and disinfecting. Assists all members of the cardiac surgery team throughout the operative continuum.

REQUIRED

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
3. One (1) year of experience as a CVOR Anesthesia Technician.
4. Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.

PREFERRED

1. Certified Anesthesia Technologist (ASATT)
2. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
