Job summary

Northside Hospital is seeking a CVOR Anesthesia Technician to assist the cardiac anesthesia team with administration and monitoring of anesthesia, and to support monitoring, line placement, and equipment testing throughout the surgical continuum.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of CVOR anesthesia experience, with Georgia pharmacy technician registration preferred. Work hours are 06-1430 on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• One (1) year of experience as a CVOR Anesthesia Technician.
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiac anesthesiologist with administration and monitoring of anesthesia.
• Support invasive and non-invasive monitoring, line preparation and placement.
• Test, calibrate, troubleshoot, clean and disinfect equipment.
• Assist all members of the cardiac surgery team throughout the operative continuum.

Responsibilities

The CVOR Anesthesia Technician assists the cardiac anesthesiologist with administration and monitoring of anesthesia and has an extensive knowledge of cardiac anesthesia techniques, instruments, supplies and technology. Supports anesthesiologists and mid-levels with invasive and non-invasive monitoring, advanced line preparation and placement. Provides equipment testing, calibration, trouble shooting, cleaning and disinfecting. Assists all members of the cardiac surgery team throughout the operative continuum.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).


• One (1) year of experience as a CVOR Anesthesia Technician.


• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.

PREFERRED

• Certified Anesthesia Technologist (ASATT)


• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
