Northside Hospital is seeking a CVOR Anesthesia Technician to assist the cardiac anesthesiologist with administration and monitoring of anesthesia. You will support all members of the cardiac surgery team and ensure proper equipment testing, calibration and sanitation throughout the operative continuum.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and at least one year of CVOR anesthesia tech experience, with active Georgia Pharmacy Technician registration.

• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• One (1) year of experience as a CVOR Anesthesia Technician.
• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.

The CVOR Anesthesia Technician assists the cardiac anesthesiologist with administration and monitoring of anesthesia and has an extensive knowledge of cardiac anesthesia techniques, instruments, supplies and technology. Supports anesthesiologists and mid-levels with invasive and non-invasive monitoring, advanced line preparation and placement. Provides equipment testing, calibration, trouble shooting, cleaning and disinfecting. Assists all members of the cardiac surgery team throughout the operative continuum.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).


• One (1) year of experience as a CVOR Anesthesia Technician.


• Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia.

PREFERRED

• Certified Anesthesia Technologist (ASATT)


• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
