Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Credentialing Verification Office professional to support credentialing and privileging for medical staff in accordance with organizational policies, bylaws, and regulatory requirements.

The role ensures credentialing information is accurate, complete, and processed within set timeframes, while maintaining confidentiality and professional communication with providers and stakeholders. Primary source verification and escalation duties are key aspects of the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: Associate’s degree in healthcare, business, or related field or 2 years related experience.
• 2 years healthcare or related experience required.
• NAMSS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support credentialing and privileging processes for medical staff and credentialed practitioners.
• Ensure credentials are accurate, complete, current, and processed within established timeframes.
• Communicate requirements, deadlines, and status with providers and stakeholders.
• Perform or coordinate primary source verification of practitioner credentials.
• Identify discrepancies or items needing review and escalate as needed.
