Job summary

Serco is seeking an experienced Project Manager for the Naval Acquisition and Sustainment Operation (NASO) to oversee engineering and technical services for overhaul and repair of HM&E and aviation systems on U.S. Navy Aircraft Carriers. Location: Bremerton, WA.

DoD Secret clearance is required. Travel up to 25% may be required. The role emphasizes leading large teams, coordinating with shipboard departments, and delivering formal maintenance packages per Navy standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of seven years’ experience in related engineering management field, or Associates Degree with fourteen (14) years’ experience in related engineering management field.
• An active DoD security clearance is required.
• Five years’ supervisory experience in technical assistance, maintenance, or design related to Navy Aircraft Carriers/surface ships.
• Three years with practical aircraft carrier/surface ship maintenance, design, operation, and problems of main propulsion, auxiliary, electrical, and damage control equipment.
• Two years direct experience with auxiliary, electrical and damage control systems and steam propulsion plants.
• Two years direct experience with auxiliary, electrical and damage control systems for U.S. Naval Ships.
• One year direct experience in Naval Nuclear Secondary Plant Systems and/or NNPI knowledge.
• Up to 25% travel for CONUS/OCONUS may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams providing technical guidance on HM&E and aviation equipment interfacing with combat support systems.
• Oversee inspections, analysis, repairs, and maintenance planning for naval propulsion and related systems.
• Interface with ship’s reactor department prior to inspections, testing, and production work.
• Guide fault identification and support Ship's Force for repairs on propulsion, electrical, and damage control equipment.
• Provide technical support and advice to Ship's Force on operation, overhaul, and repair tasks.
• Develop and guide training packages and on-board operator training for Ship’s Force.
• Create Formal Work Packages (FWPs) and Controlled Work Packages (CWPs) per Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual.
