Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Baltimore, Maryland. The role focuses on cardiovascular ICU care, with 13-week duration and 36 hours per week across 12-hour rotating shifts.

The ideal candidate has 1-2 years of acute care experience and ACLS/BLS certifications. You will support patients after complex procedures and work within a fast-paced, high-stakes environment while educating families on post-discharge care.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• 1-2 years' recent acute care experience.
• CVICU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life-threatening heart conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Take samples for diagnostic tests; order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
• Be called in for emergencies to provide CPR and operate defibrillators hospital-wide.
• Educate patients and family members on how to manage recovery at home.
