Qualifications

• Arizona RN license active or eligibility
• Experience in CVICU or closely related critical care
• Strong cardiac assessment and clinical decision‑making skills
• Ability to work overnight shifts and participate in weekend/holiday rotations
• Willingness to float to other units and take call
• Additional certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and NIH

Responsabilités

• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients in the CVICU.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and continuously monitor hemodynamic status, cardiac rhythms, and vital signs.
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and cardiovascular emergencies.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to provider orders and established protocols.
• Manage and monitor critical care equipment and cardiovascular support therapies within the nurse's scope of practice and competency.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient responses.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and ongoing care, as appropriate.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and hospital compliance standards.
• Support continuity of care through effective communication and shift handoffs.
