Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN CVICU for a travel nursing job in Glendale, Arizona. This assignment runs 13 weeks at 36 hours per week with 12-hour night shifts, and requires 1-2 years of acute care experience. You will provide critical care after open-heart procedures, administer meds, and monitor patients in a fast-paced CVICU.

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• 2 years of acute care experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced CVICU environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care to patients with potentially life-threatening heart conditions.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
• Take samples for diagnostic tests; order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
• Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
• Respond to emergencies with CPR and defibrillator use hospital-wide.
• Educate patients and family on recovery at home.
