Qualifications

• 0-2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN licensure (state or compact) required; BCLS certification required; ACLS/PALS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care per the nursing process.
• Documents accurate patient assessments and reports changes promptly.
• Administers prescribed medications and monitors for side effects.
• Assists physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Collaborates with the care team to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Responds to medical emergencies and participates in life-saving interventions (CPR, code team).
• Educates patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Maintains infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
• Operates and monitors medical equipment as needed.
• Documents care thoroughly in the medical record and participates in audits and quality initiatives.
• Maintains attendance and adherence to policies.
• Critical Care responsibilities include ventilator management, central lines/tracheostomies, and ACLS as applicable.
